Always bet on yourself.

So many people never chase their dreams because they are waiting for the perfect situation. If you’re one of these people you’re going to be waiting for a long time. I’m a firm believer in betting on yourself and having confidence that you will succeed despite whatever is happening around you. Stop making excuses, whatever it may be and start finding solutions.

Let’s talk about sports – teams are always playing to win whatever the sport; you need this mentality too. No one loses on purpose, but you can be in the game without really being in the game.

What I’m trying to say is that everyone should want the opportunity to prove themselves and grab it even if they are coming off the bench and it’s always better to try and fail than not to try at all – and in fact I wouldn’t say that is failure, I would say quitting Is failure but you know what I mean.

Your trying and failing will eventually turn into trying and succeeding. Those should have/would have/haves will haunt you, don’t be one of those people and remember coaches always watch film.

How do I get in the game?

Let’s be honest, there’s always going to be someone better than you. A better musician, trader, singer, dancer, photographer, everything. But there’s never going to be a better you. So, my answer is work hard and always apply yourself. Have self-improvement on your mind all the time and constantly chase your goals and if you keep applying pressure, eventually you’re going to break through.

When I first started my money management business, I was a nobody but when opportunity presented itself, I took it. I knew I had to stand out so I sweetened the pot for my investors offering safety nets and something they wouldn’t get elsewhere because I was new in the game.

The moral is when opportunity presents itself be confident and take that risk, it’s normal to fear, fear as It’s a natural occurrence when doing something new but there can be beautiful things on the other side of overcoming fear. Learn to become adaptable because it is very rare that plan A works perfectly, people become successful by adapting to situations and their ability to learn from their mistakes and make adjustments. But most importantly, stop making excuses for yourself, keep trying and failing until you try and succeed.
